GLOSSYBOX #4

It's again GlossyBox time!

I must admit, this last month went pretty fast - I suppose it helps that the box was sent in advance (I received the July box on the 21st) plus I had sooo much fun playing with the goodies of the previous box.

 I don't know what to think, personally... I will probably not use 2 products (acne, hair) plus I was looking forward to try the nail wraps but I don't like the pattern I was sent. :(

To be positive, I will give all products a go anyway and will write a more detailed post later on.

What you girls think? Anybody wants to swap?? :P

I'm glad we all got the same box (apparently) that way is less of a disappointment... if it makes sense...

There's a new box in town - FeelUnique.com

After Glossybox started the trend back in May, new subscriptions are coming out like mushrooms in UK.

Boudoir Privè has been delivered to around 9000 beauty junkies just last week (including me! Full review will follow in the next week or so after I have tried all the products. I don't see the point to do a post only listing the products as we all got the same box and I just recommend to check their website).

Anyway, I have just found out that FeelUnique.com are also starting their own initiative from September. Unfortunately, I was late to jump on this wagon and the first one has sold out so your warned that if you join now you won't get your box until October. Bummer!

I got a feeling this is going to be the best one of the lot, being a retailer with over 400+ quality brands to choose from... So NO bad surprises. :)

i received this by post so last night I tried it: disappointed! There's really nothing special about this shampoo (and conditioner): it smells the same as any other Herbal Essences and my hair didn't feel one bit softer.

Have you received that sample as well? What did you think? :)

Diet Chef

23/08/11 - Update here.

Today I'm starting the Diet Chef!

I've lost quite a bit of weight since the beginning of the year - about 2 stones in just under 4 months - in a steady, healthy way, controlling calories and going to the gym. You know, I'm getting married in April next year so I'm trying to get in the best possible shape - call me vain! :)

Anyway, I was starting to get fed up with always eating the same things and that's the main reason I decided to start this program (also, I got it quite cheap, nearly half price, with a www.livingsocial.com  voucher).

So, how is it going to work? They provide breakfast (it could be muesli bar, granola, porridge), lunch (soup or milkshake), snack (salty or sweet options available) and dinner (a complete meal: pasta, curry, stew...); on top of that, you need to add milk for breakfast, 2 fruits as snacks and 1 portion of veg with your mail meal.

It looks promising and I'm excited to start it now!!! :)

GLOSSYBOX #3 - in depth

CIATE Nail Enamel in Big Yellow Taxi no74 : I'm glad I got this product. That is my first CIATE nail polish, the bottle is so cute with the bow and the formulation also gets a thumb up: Formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and toluene free. The colour wouldn't have been my first choice - it's a good dupe for the Chanel' Mimosa (which maybe I was going to buy) but bottom line is I'm not going to wear it too often. Also, it appears a bit streaky even after 2 coats and that's why i've teamed it with the Barry M shatter coat. how do you like it? Hey, it's a full size bottle! :)

ILLAMASQUA Pure Pigment in Marvel : I'm glad I got this colour in this case as I was planning on getting Nars eyeshadow in Etrusque and this is close enough. Also, full size! :)

yes, awkward smile everyone! anyhow, I'm wearing the pigment in this photo and I  like the effect with black kohl.

Inlight Organic Daily Face Oil: never heard of this product before. It is a new concept: daily face oil (which I suppose to be used instead of a daily cream). I'm looking forward to try it but I'm a bit sceptical; main concern is to end up with shiny face. Full size, get in! :)

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil: I'm really excited about this one! I was planning to buy the cellulite oil so I can try this one first and see how it works - this is a firming oil and smells divine. I start repeating myself, but also full size!!!

Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe in Dark: oh well, I don't care for self-tan much, I prefer to stay pale so I will probably try this on my body, instead of face. Sample size.
