Inside the Jewellery Box...

I started this series few months ago and I got to say I received some really positive and nice feedback from you, guys... Thank you so much for your lovely comments!
Today I'm gonna share some custom rings that I own:
I prefer thin rings and my favourite are stackable ones; I don't mind a big statement cocktail ring but it has to have a thin back, otherwise I find it uncomfortable to wear and make my fingers swell.
I like to wear these 2 rings together - the hammered on the left is from Accessorize and the second from Orelia @ Topshop. I like the dark stones and I think they look good together.
This set is from Topshop, few years ago - I usually wear them all together, spread on middle and index finger. My favourite are the rose and white band with the hearts.
The 3 rings on the right were an absolute steal. I got them on ebay 4 years ago and paid £2 for them. The metal is still vibrant as the day I got them... shame the ebay shop is now closed, I would have picked more.
The purple bow ring is from Asos, it was also £2 on sale - It's cute!
This ring is from Dannijo - I like the oxidized metal, the chain and the military-esque stars.
Probably the biggest ring I have - my husband always says that it doubles as a weapon... hehe fair enough! ;)
Left ring: I really like purple&turquoise combo. I actually found it on the floor in a club I used to work when I lived in Cardiff... It's from Swarovski and it fits so I decided to keep it. I really like it, actually.
I like the idea of the laser cut diamond shape but this ring is just soooo impractical to wear.
Cocktail rings:
l-r: Topshop, Topshop, New Look, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse
This is one of my favourite - I like blush, as a colour, a lot!
I wear it with this bangle set with the matching blush bracelet and distressed metal.
 Another cheap set from Asos.
Rose gold is my favourite metal, currently and I thought the thin, empty hearts of the earrings were quite cool.
Finally, the oldest and most precious of the set: this is a Russian gold ring and my mum bought it for me, about 15 years ago. Love the vintage, classic style.
So, what do you think?
I'd like to see some of your pieces too - link me back to your blogs :)

I'm back & Haul

Hello ladies!
Yes, I shall resume normal blogging activity now - apologies for being quiet in the last couple of weeks but starting a new job has been particularly challenging: I've been very busy and just generally pooped at the end of the day... brain-in-pulp syndrome.
Also, I managed to spend time with my sister which was really good.
Now, I'm starting to get used to the pace so I'm sure I'll be able to fit blogging nicely in my new routine. :)
So, today I bring you a haul of different bits and bobs that I've acquired in the last few weeks.

River Island Navy Lurex Scarf
This scarf was love at first sight - It caught my eyes as soon as I walked into the store.
It's navy which is the colour that I gravitate towards every winter but it also got some khaki green that will go nicely with my birthday parka. In the mix, there are also some rose gold lurex filaments which makes it extra special to me... I don't know, I really love it and it's so much prettier in person... bit pricey at £22 but it's going to be my autumn/winter staple, definitely!
Marks & Spencer Limited Collection Beauty Bag
Another item that I couldn't leave in the store when I saw it.
I don't really need another washbag but hey, it can always come in handy... of course, my love for owls had a major influence in buying it! ;)
It's quite compact but looks roomy enough and I like the rigid zip frame at the top that keeps it open (easier to rummage through your stuff, especially like in a public toilet for a quick touch-up).
Finally, I also picked up a couple of rings in New Look since they were on offer - buy one get one free.
Gold Multi Agate Stack Rings is a set of 3 stackable rings in gold metal with a pink, gold and black rough agate. I thought these were really pretty and definitely looked more expensive than what they are; I like to wear them all together or split them between the middle and index finger.
I also got the Grey Facet Stone Ring for free which is perfect as a statement ring on the middle digit; the stone is quite transparent and the faceted cuts reflect the light beautifully.

Finally, a reminder that my giveaway is still open - you can enter here!

FOTD & OOTD - Housewarming Lunch

tied my hair up before leaving

Some friends, recently, moved in a new house together and invited us over for lunch at the weekend

I know many people like it and I like that is very liquid but I find it quite greyish; Garnier BB cream remains the best I have tried so far), Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in pink, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in medium, Nars Cream Blush in Cactus Flower, Guerlain Meteorites Perles in 01 Teint Rose';

Primark' Vivienne Westwood-eque Boots
I couldn't resist for a tenner. I've been looking for ankle boots and black are perfect to match with every outfit. Isn't the wee bow cute?
I, normally, don't go for imitations or fakes but I can't justify to buy these original: they are PLASTIC, I mean PLASTIC (or RUBBER, if you wish). I don't mind to pay more for designers if it's leather or suede or you can feel the quality of the material.

New Look' Snake Patterned Clutch Bag
This clutch was also 10 pounds and change.
I love the orange/fuschia colour-blocking so much - definitely, my favourite trend since last year.
The bag also got a gold chain shoulder strap.

Ruby @ New Look

I popped into New Look after work to get a present for a friend' birthday when I saw this bag and I HAD to have it. *blush*
It's from a brand called Ruby that, to be honest, I have never seen around but I reckon is one of these concession of new businesses from London... It was quite pricey (around fifty quid - for a name which I had never heard before) but it looks good; it's got cross-body and shoulder straps, the material is distressed leather, got tiny botton and buckle detailing
It's bang on season which orangy/rush colour and bucket shape. It also comes with dust bag.

New Look Limited Edition

Liked this blouse at first glance – it’s from the limited collection and can easily be dressed up or down. I like to wear it with the bow neck tie undone but of course you need to wear something underneath because it’s too see-through. I mainly bought it to wear on top of the goddess dress in winter.

New Look' Anchor Print Vest

love both music and anchors, so this vest is a perfect match; it's quite long and big, so I will probably use it as a dress.
