Review / Kiko Milano Daring Game Collection

The new Daring Game Collection* from Kiko Milano is a stunner!
The packaging is sleek and mysterious and perfectly encapsulates the theme of the collection; a sophisticated, daring woman and confident on her own beauty and femininity!
The colours are perfect to create a sensual mood both for autumn and the upcoming holiday season.

Mystery Smoky Eye Pencil: I love the packaging! The long, metallic cap is unlikely to get loose and make a mess in your handbag or beauty bag… such a simple but ingenious idea – and looks beautiful too!
They are soft and easy to smudge and the shimmer add a touch of glamour to an effortless smoky eye.
13 Wily Bright Wood is a musky green with silver particles that complements brown and green eyes;
17 Heady Rock Brown is a blackened brown with red glitter - subtle but very very pretty!

Color-Up Long Lasting Eyeshadow: I’m a huge fan of crayon make up (blushes, eyeshadows, lip stains). I enjoy the practicality and  versatile creamy consistency.
The formula of these is fantastic! The colour applies uniformly and it's easy to blend; BUT once they set, they don’t budge at all – extreme reliability without creasing!
29 Irresistible Teal is a forest green, whilst 31 Tasteful Indigo is a luminous blue - both with a metallic and contemporary finish.

Don’t be afraid of the colour, tho - They are still subtle enough to be used during the day or to create an intriguing eye look in the evening.

Ace of Diamond Lipstick: the lipstick range comes in a variety of shades, from a neutral pink to a classic red to complement a more daring eye look. The formula is creamy, easy buildable and weightless; the lips appear fuller and with a semi matte, velvety finish.
21 Distinct Golden Hibiscus is a warm berry shade, lightened by golden shimmer, that is sure to brighten any grey autumn morning.

The Daring Game Face Brush has a unique heart shaped head that has been created to work in unison with the Golden Game Sculpting Bronzer, which has a split section with bronzer and highlighter in the same compact (but of course the brush works with any powder).
The bristles are synthetic and of high quality;  they feel soft on the skin and perfectly kiss the cheeks at a perfect angle to create a natural and defined look.
Btw, THAT bronzer!!! I definitely need to get my paws on it... after all it’s someone’s birthday soon *hint hint* ;)

So, what do you think of this collection? Better getting your picks now before it's too late!!!

Boots Haul

I finally picked up the Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush; I’ve been wanting to try it for a while but it was always sold-out in store. It is the same great quality as the rest of the line, it’s also convenient for travelling but still remaining a full size brush. I like to use it both for blusher and setting powder.

L’Oreal Nails a Porter in 002 Killer Nude – I picked these up to try out. I have never use fake nails before – they just seem so uncomfortable to wear – but I loved the design of these.

Essie Nail Polish in Aruba Blue – this was a long overdue purchase. I adore this colour and blue polishes are my favourites! Not much to say in words, it’s simply stunning and the pictures are speaking for themselves, me think.

Yes To is a brand that I’m been testing lately; I tried the Yes To Cucumber Soothing Facial Wipes before and loved them so I picked up another full pack. I also wanted to try the new brightening Grapefruit line and I  bought the Yes To Grapefruit Uneven Skin Tone Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream, which sounds fab to help lighten my dark circles… will see how it fairs.

Haul / Kiko Make Up Milano

Biiiiiiiiiig haul!
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Kiko make up and I simply couldn't resist the amazing sale on the website; a bit annoying that there's a minimum spend of £25 but prices are really good and you get free delivery on your first order, I believe... get in there before it's too late! ;)

Kiko Vinyl Lips Liquid Lipstick in 02 Rich Crimson
Such a deep and gorgeous shade - a coral with gold shimmer. Comfortable and perfect for summer!
There is also one of these in Sleek Magenta up for grab in my giveaway, if you're interested!

Kiko Colour Explosion Multi-Tone Blush in 04 Bold Coral
I was so glad to find this blush at half price - I've been eyeing it since it came out and I'm naturally a sucker for coral blushes. It's very very soft so you need to be careful not to pick too much product; I've been using it for the last couple of weeks and nearly made a dent already ;)

Kiko Glow Touch Lips & Cheeks in 01 Bitter Margarita - 04 Pleasant Pink Azalea
Pretty exciting pots at under £3 that I nearly bought all 6 of them. They last well on the cheeks and I didn't find them drying on the lips - surprisingly since they have a pretty matte finish.
My favourite is Bitter Margarita (another coral, go figure!) but I got to say that the packaging is a bit of a pain... they take a great strength to twist open.

Kiko Colours In The World Eye Brush
I also picked up this brush in the sale because I was curious to check Kiko's brushes quality.
The round tip looks interesting and should work well in the crease; I haven't tried it yet but it feels really soft and promising.

Kiko Anti-Cell Serum Spray
This is the only item that was not discounted. I picked this up because I wanted a fast body treatment to use in the mornings; I kinda of can't be bothered to rub creams on my body in the morning... but if i skip it, then I feel guilty! So this spray is the perfect compromise: dries in seconds and let me sleep 5 extra minutes. ;)
It also has a fresh and zesty scent.

Review / Pür Minerals

Exciting new launch to share with you today!
Pür Minerals is a leading american brand of mineral make up that is going strong for over 10 years and  it has now arrived in Uk.
I was kindly sent the Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup* to try out.
I was very intrigued to give it a go since, I must admit, I had never heard about this brand before.
I like the dotted design both on the box and the actual item: sleek and substantial compact with a mirror to pop in your handbag.
I have blush medium which is a great match for me but the range comes in 10 shades, which is a decent number, and you're bound to find a colour that suits you too.
This pressed foundation feels very smooth on the skin and doesn't accentuate lines or dry skin.
But what does 4-in-1 mean? The product is a foundation, powder, concealer and SPF15... how about that for multi tasking!
Personally, I can vouch for it: I have never achieve such a high coverage from any other powder before.
There is also a specific brush - Chisel Makeup Brush -  to go with the powder and I got to say this is a match made in heaven!
I didn't think much about the brush, when I first saw it, but I was blown away as soon as I tried it out. It just collects the right amount of product and the short and chubby handle blends to a consistent, uniform finish.
It also let you build to a decent coverage which is great if, like me, you have issues with uneven skintone. Definitely looking into buy a couple more of those.
yep, I need an haircut :S
Pür Minerals includes a full range of make up essentials like primers, eye and lip products, mascara and liquid foundations and it is now exclusively available from Marks & Spencer You Beauty stores.
