Review / Kiko Long Lasting Colour Lip Marker

These type of lip markers have been on the market for a while but I've been kinda of sceptical because I've heard that the tip can dry quickly and the could can apply patchy... but Kiko Long Lasting Colour Lip Marker is none of those things!
At first, I was a bit scared to start drawing on my lips - it's a marker after all and my brain was screaming 'it's permanent, be careful' - but it's actually foolproof to apply.
The tip is stiffer than a lip brush and pretty wet so you have good control but by the time you've finished painting your lips, the colour has set.

108 Hot Pink* has great pigmentation and - the name says it all - a proper punch just how I like it.
They have the most yummyful and pleasant fruity smell but without being overpowering and annoying; I usually don't like scented lip products but I actually enjoy this one.
They perform like a stain so the staying power is amazing too: I went for a good 6 hours without trouble or transfer on glasses/cutlery and still felt comfortable and non-drying on the lips.

Another A+++ for Kiko and at £6.90, these are better than high street prices.

Lip Products Comparison

When I wrote my recent Debenhams Haul post, I realised I never blogged about my other Clinique Chubby Stick... so, I decide to quickly put them side by side to compare the shades... it could be helpful if you're considering to buy them, I imagine.
I have also compared the Ysl Glossy Stains that I have... Hope you enjoy! :)

 Clinique Chubby Stick
l-r Super Strawberry / Mighty Mimosa
Ysl Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain
l-r Corail Fauve /  Corail Aquatique / Encre Rose

What do you think?
This post was actually a lot of fun... maybe I should do a 'my lipsticks collection' post... would you be interested in it?

Haul / Debenhams

Clinique Chubby Stick in 13 Mighty Mimosa
On Sunday's Post, I mentioned that I was looking to buy another lip crayon...
I came to the conclusion that - even if the Revlons are cheaper - I prefer the Cliniques as I find them more moisturizing and comfortable to wear.
I went for Mighty Mimosa because it's such a pretty colour, as simple as that.
Also, it's very flattering on my skintone so I will get the most use out of it.
I know there are some Chubby Sticks Intense coming out soon but I prefer this type of product to be sheer, to be honest.
What I am looking forward to, Clinique-wise, are the Chubby Sticks for eyes... when are they coming out??? I saw some spoilers months ago but not release date as yet. :(
amount of product you get

Ysl Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in 12 Corail Fauve
Now, it's just plain rude to place an order for only 1 item, right? ;)
Well, I decided to pick up another favourite lip product of mine (also, had to reach 40quid to take advantage of the promotion).
This is, actually, my 3rd Ysl glossy stain... ops... You can check the others here.
These are expensive beauties but the quality is amazing, in my opinion.
Also, the colours are vibrant and interesting... especially now that I'm trying not to buy dupes in my lipstick collection.
Corail Fauve is a coral pink, very wearable; again, I like the consistency, very light formula and performs amazingly. The applicator works well too and you get just the right amount of product out.

What's your favourite lip product/colour??

Giveaway Goodies

I was lucky enough to win a pair of Zaggora pants on The Sunday Girl blog!
Thrilled about it as I already have a pair of the original Hot Pants and I wear them a lot... so having a change will definitely come in handy.
You can read my original review here... but bottom line, I didn't find them helping me loosing inches but they improved my cellulite dramatically!
I've been, actually, looking at that review and maybe I was a bit pessimistic... I wear them every day so I must feel they are beneficial, after all.
The only thing I would say is to be careful with sizing: I asked for a medium of the Viva because I'm wearing a medium in the original pants, but these are definitely snugger... maybe because they are longer... not sure if other people experienced the same.
I can still wear them but whilst the original are a 'loose' medium, the Viva are a 'slim' medium.

They also gave me a promo code to pass to you, guys - code: ABJONES - it gives you 10% off and I just saw that the originals are, currently, discounted and I think they are perfect to get started.

Maybelline SuperStay 10hr Tint Gloss
I won this on AlbertineB blog, instead.
I'm actually enjoying it very much! The colour is called Lasting Pink but it's more of a pinkish red, in reality. It's light in consistency, very comfortable to wear and it didn't dry my lips.
I can't say if it  really lasts 10hrs but it did last 6hours on me. I wore it last weekend, from about 8pm and it was still there when I got home around 2am (of course, I'm talking about the stain... the actually gloss lasted 2/3 hours); I had few drinks and some chips so I reckon it performed pretty well.
To be fair, I'm not even bothered about the longevity because the colour is just so stunning!
Have you won any giveaway, recently??! :)

Delivery / SpaceNK

Last week, I received an email from SpaceNK about new releases and I was trilled to see the NARS Foreplay Palette!!!
I went in store the following day but they didn't have it here in Glasgow - disappointment :( - the sale assistant mentioned that it's probably only available in London at the moment and It will arrive up north later on... but to be fair, I couldn't wait... hehe ;)

of course, I picked up something else too ;)

NARS Foreplay Palette
 "Foreplay is a deconstructed Orgasm"

I just think this is beautiful looking cheek palette; love how the 4 shapes play with the black lines - You get a lot of product but the packaging still looks slick and slim.

Inside you get a big square of Orgasm Blush plus a  peach matte blush, a pink matte blush and a gold highlighter.
It's, actually, perfect for me as I don't own the single orgasm blush - and as much as this palette is attractive and desirable, I wouldn't want to have a double.
Honestly, I never got the hype around this blusher: I swatched it many time in store and yes, I could see it's very pretty... but I only completely understood the value of it, once it kissed my cheeks.
It's so unbelievably and effortlessly flattering and I would imagine it does work on every skintone.

byTerry Aqualip Jelly Tint
Been eyeing this for a while too - but it was sold out on the website, for a while... luckly, it came back in stock just as I was placing my order.
I really like my L'Oreal Studio Secret Professional Universal Lip Glow - I know it's hit or miss because it depends how it react to the ph of your skin but it looks really vivid on me... unfortunately, it last 20mins tops! :(
When I saw the Jelly Tint, instantly reminded me of it... but with the added lasting performance.

It looks neon orange in the tube but it's indeed a bright pink, when applied on the lips; man, this is bringing the 'stain' to an all new level - I couldn't get rid of the swatch on my hand for a day, seriously!
It's so fresh on the lips, it really feels like a splash of water and although the pigmentation is definitely there, it still remains sheer.

Clarisonic Delicate Brush Head
The website offers free delivery over £60 so I picked up a Clarisonic replacement head, too.
I tried the normal and sensitive before so I decided to get the delicate one, this time - I'm due to change my current one, anyway.

Finally, I also received this samples...

... and there was a gift with purchase over £75:

VERY excited!! I always wanted to try Institut Esthederm but it's very expensive; these are good size bottles too - unfortunately, I won't have a chance to use them now so I'll just keep them sealed and take them with me when I go to Italy next spring (hopefully!).
The pochettes are gorgeous, too.

Hope you liked the haul! :)

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain

http://youtu.be/pN5zCZqfkbM

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain is something you're going to fall in love with!
Are you a lipstick-kinda-of-girl or lipgloss or stain ?? Doesn't matter because this little pot of gorgeousness will satisfy every one of us...

Initially, it was exclusive for Selfridges London but on Valentine's Day (how appropriate), it became available nationwide.
There are 20 shades, spanning from the deepest and most daring red to soft nudes and pink.

First, I tried no 17 Encre Rose and loved how it felt on my lips; I wanted the full glossiness and applied 2 coats in the morning, without blotting. I went out with a friend and the stain survived lunch and a Starbucks coffee for 5 hours. Great great performance!!!

The beauty is that no matter which colour you pick, you can make it as intense or as subtle as you need - it really is the perfect product for every occasion!
So next thing I'm in Debenhams swatching away for 40 minutes!!!
There are so many sweet colours and all wearable that I had an hard time deciding... in the end, I came home with no 7 Corail Aquatique. :)

It's the perfect coral and it works very well with my skin complexion... in fact, I actually wore it on my hen-do over the weekend... is there a bigger compliment?? :)

Anyway, I already know that I will have to add no 12 Corail Fauve to my collection too.
Have you bought one of this already? Which colour??
xx
