Just In / Neve Dessert a Levres Lipsticks

I'm always excited when I hear about a new Neve Cosmetics release!
They never fail to create original, green products with cute packagings.
The recent lipsticks - called Dessert a Levres - have a vegetarian formula with no silicones, no parabens or petroleum derivatives either. The line includes 8 shades with nourishing ingredients and also protect the lips, keeping them hydrated.
I love both the cartoonish packaging and the lilac tube - it's fun!
The range is ideal for Spring with pinks, corals but it also includes nudes and a gorgeous red.
The finish is semi-sheer but it's easily buidable with a couple of swipes.
The shades are inspired by international desserts - like the names suggest - and also have a sweet scent (similar to the Mac vanilla one).
Mousse Framboise* is right up my street!
I love to team a bright, fuchsia lip with simple eyes - it's my favourite look.
This lipstick has a matte finish without drying the lips and the blue undertone is super flattering with every skintone. It's gonna reside in my handbag throughout Spring and Summer. ;)
Crepe Suzette* instead is a nude with peach undertone.
It's just too pale for me to wear on its own but I'm making it work as a top coat on other lipsticks - it adds a beautiful glossy finish and the creamy formula makes it really comfortable to wear.
As always you can buy these products from cutecosmetics.co.uk and nevecosmetics.it
Fruit Sushi and Panna Cotta are already in my shopping basket! :D

Mini Haul

I've been intrigued by the Konad Stamping Nail Sets for a while but not enough to order a kit, I suppose.
Then, I read on a couple of blogs that a cheaper version had been spotted in Poundland recently so I went and got myself a chance at trying nail stamping, too - *exciting times*
I got to say it's quite fun and dead simple - I was worried the designs would be too cheesy but they are cute and wearable. Only criticism: some of the patterns are too big for my short nails so just need to adapt or use part of them.
Anyway, I'm glad I bought it - I'm definitively having some fun and getting creative.
Rimmel 053 Apricot Punch - Bourjois no.17
I got this necklace in Primark - impulse buy but no question at £2. I like the native americans/tribal vibe with the feather and the turquoise and the rose gold heart is a nice addiction, too.

Review / Dr. Ceuticals Leg Tone & Shimmer

I'm obsessed with body products. I've cellulite - Oh yes, I'm saying it out loud! - so I always go for creams with added benefits, ingredients targeting this problematic burden.
You may know, for experience, that the best approach is being constant so I apply my lotions mornings and evenings, religiously.
Recently, I came across the Dr. Ceuticals brand which is available online and currently on offer in Boots, too *hint hint* ;)
There's not one item from this line that I don't want to try: stretch mark solution, hand de-age cream, bust boost to mention a few.
I've been using Dr. Ceutical Leg Tone & Shimmer* in the mornings because it's a light lotion, easily absorbed which lets me get dressed straight away; it also provides good hydration throughout the day.
This product is intended to tone legs, knees and ankles but of course, it works on any area where you may experience saggy skin; it also contains the star ingredient - red algae - which stimulates collagen synthesis and have slimming properties.
The subtle shimmer helps hiding the unforgiving parts and I have actually been applying it to my arms too and looks very pretty in the spring sunshine.
I love the sleek white and silver packaging and the simplicity of the statements/promises on the front of the tube.
I'm really enjoying using this lotion every day and I'm impressed so far - definitely looking forward to try some more. Have you seen this range around? Tried any product?

Haul / Boots

Few weeks ago I placed an order on Boots.com to take advantage of the 3for2 offer that included make up, skincare and body care.

Recently, I mentioned in my March' Empties that I finished The Beauty Parlour Boob Tubes but wasn't really impressed.
I love Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula - and how the products smell - so I picked up the Bust Cream which is also reasonably priced at under 7 pounds. The consistency seems a bit on the thick side, like a body butter, but it absorbs really well, I haven't experienced any break out so far and you only need a small amount.
Then, I stocked up on some body cream: I haven't tried the No7 Smooth & Improve Cellulite Treatment and at £22 I wouldn't normally buy it without being sure it works. So I thought it was the right chance to give it a go. I'm not too fussed with the gimmicky applicator, I just have high hopes on the formulation, really.
Finally, I bought the Tweezerman Deluxe Hair Cutting Shears; I cut my fringe every couple of weeks and currently I'm using a pair with texturising teeth which is really effortless to use. I decided to get a regular pair, in case I want to try a more dramatic, blunt style. they are vvvvery sharp!
I also HAD to get some make up... of course!!! ;)
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr in On and On Bronze: Big fan of these pots! I already have a couple and been wanting the bronze shade for a while. I've been pretty much used it every day since I got it - it lets you create a beautiful look, effortlessly and quickly. You don't need anything else on top... this is really a case where less is more.
Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in 180 Indigo Night: Prologue - I love blue polishes but a nice, bright midnight blue was missing from my collection.
I decided to get the Revlon because I've been wanting to try this line since it came out; I'm pleased with both consistency and longevity but £7.99 is a bit steep for an high street polish, in my opinion... I mean you can get an Essie for that price, right?! High street-wise, Rimmel is still my favourite around the 4quid range.
Real Techniques Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Kit: another product I'm crossing off my wishlist.
I'm a bit fan of RT brushes - I already wrote about them here & here.
I mainly wanted to try the deluxe crease brush for concealer since my dark circles are so bad and I figured every little helps. I'm finding the base shadow brush great to apply cream shadows/color tattoos and the accent brush for undereye smudging.
I don't really have any use for the pixel-point eyeliner brush and brow brush so I will keep them to give away in my next giveaway. ;)
Have you tried any of these items? What are your thoughts?

What's in my Travel Bag / Amsterdam

I've just returned from a couple of days in Amsterdam.
It was our first wedding anniversary last week, I still can't believe the time went soooo fast so we decided to have a mini break away to celebrate! :)
Here is what I took with me - I packed pretty light and I'm actually surprised with myself; all the make up fitted into the small Elemis beauty case and I shared the bigger washbag with my husband... I mainly took sample sizes which of course helped.
Make up
Skincare:
I took my fake Borbonese bag as hand luggage; It has 3 compartments and it's great for travelling because got easy access to my camera and stuff when doing touristy things. ;)
I love the iconic print of these bags... hopefully, I'll be able to afford the real deal one day.
I also took the Topshop clutch for night time.
Accessories:
I went for the rose gold and purple combo
The weather wasn't too bad; still chilly and just a few degrees more than Glasgow but the sun was warm and at least, it was dry.
I did enjoy the city a lot - quite laid back and loads and loads to see. I will definitely need to go back because most of the museums close at 5pm and we didn't manage to see everything that we wanted... expect some major queues too.
Of course the canals and bikes are extremely charming - although I feared for my life a couple of times. ;)
I posted some pictures on my Instagram... if you fancy a look, I'm princess_leica

FOTD - Blue Eyeliner

I had a go at the blue eye look on Easter Monday - it was a sunny afternoon and seemed a good day for experimenting ;)
I just used the blue pencil on the lower waterline and I got to say that I'm pretty pleased - I like it a lot!
That lip butter is not working out for me, tho - far too pale for my skintone. :(
Face: Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer, Nars Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturizer SPF30 in light 2 Alaska, Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Sesame, Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in pink, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in medium, Mac Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom;
Eyes: Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in 003 Bad Girl Bronze, Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 014 Brigh Blue, Revlon GrowLuscious mascara, Mac Paint Pot in Painterly;
Lips: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake.

*** I'm off to Amsterdam soon - cya in a few days :) ***

Review / Pür Minerals Big Blink Mascara

I already raved about Pür Minerals cosmetics here - I totally fell in love with the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up and I'm going through my wee compact quickly. It's one of those items that I KNOW will be a staple of my beauty bag for a long time.
So I was super excited to try more from this brand and I was kindly sent the Big Blink Mascara* to test.
All Pür Minerals products contain no harsh chemical dyes, petroleum-based oils, fragrances or fillers but only pigments and nourishing ingredients making them suitable for all skin types.
The Big Blink mascara is loaded with vitamin E, antioxidants 3 and 9 fatty acids and Argan oil.
This revolutionary formulation hydrates, protects and repairs lashes.
Also, it's water-resistant but I didn't find it any more difficult to remove at the end of the night; especially pleased with that since I'm always terrified to pull off all my lashes whilst cleansing.
Oooooohhhh WOW! This mascara is amazing! I haven't been impressed by a mascara in ages, the application is easy and lengthening for high impact.
Definitely high impact in volume too and buildable - if you like big doll eyes look, this is the mascara for you!
The wand is one of the plastic spikey ones - which I like - and also got a ball at the top to grab small and bottom lashes.
I think the packaging is really cute too - I really like the clear packaging with the pink encased tube and it's surprisingly light too.
Definitely thumbs up for this mascara, especially for being green and still performing so exceptionally well... and of course, it's cruelty free - for all bunnies loving people like me out there! ;)
