Just In / Neve Dessert a Levres Lipsticks

I'm always excited when I hear about a new Neve Cosmetics release!
They never fail to create original, green products with cute packagings.
The recent lipsticks - called Dessert a Levres - have a vegetarian formula with no silicones, no parabens or petroleum derivatives either. The line includes 8 shades with nourishing ingredients and also protect the lips, keeping them hydrated.
I love both the cartoonish packaging and the lilac tube - it's fun!
The range is ideal for Spring with pinks, corals but it also includes nudes and a gorgeous red.
The finish is semi-sheer but it's easily buidable with a couple of swipes.
The shades are inspired by international desserts - like the names suggest - and also have a sweet scent (similar to the Mac vanilla one).
Mousse Framboise* is right up my street!
I love to team a bright, fuchsia lip with simple eyes - it's my favourite look.
This lipstick has a matte finish without drying the lips and the blue undertone is super flattering with every skintone. It's gonna reside in my handbag throughout Spring and Summer. ;)
Crepe Suzette* instead is a nude with peach undertone.
It's just too pale for me to wear on its own but I'm making it work as a top coat on other lipsticks - it adds a beautiful glossy finish and the creamy formula makes it really comfortable to wear.
As always you can buy these products from cutecosmetics.co.uk and nevecosmetics.it
Fruit Sushi and Panna Cotta are already in my shopping basket! :D

I also received these samples in the post whilst away...
A couple of weeks ago, The Beauty Bite was offering samples of the new Nude Advanced Cellular Renewal Moisturiser for their readers and I took the opportunity to request mine as I've been wanting to try this brand for some time.
I'm Super-Thrilled 'cause they also send me some serum... I can't wait to try both!!!

I'm not sure but the offer may still be active - check it out!!! :)

Bobbi Brown Tortoiseshell Collection - Fall 2011

spoiler alert!

Ok - at first I resisted, I swear!
I was in John Lewis to check out the new Bobbi Brown collection and, although I loved the tortoise case straight away, I didn't buy it.
The eye palette, I'm talking about... because the lipstick came home with me!
I don't have any brownish neutral lipstick in my possession so I decided I needed to get one for my collection and this is just 'the perfect' version: the pink undertone is very prominent, which is what I like.

Rich Lip Colour SPF12 - Soft Nude #18

The lipstick is creamy and smooth to apply plus very moisturising and light to wear - I'm completely sold on the formula; this is how I like to wear it: with a clear gloss on top, which brings out the pink in it.

Now, as you may have guessed from the spoiler alert above - I had to get second helpings!
Honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about the palette and definitely couldn't wait another week to get it, so I order it on the Debenhams' website.

Sand Tortoiseshell Eye Palette

it's sooo gorgeous, isn't it? I'm loving the tortoiseshell a lot and also the hinges which let you slide out the bottom drawer. I'm nearly scared to use it in case I drop it... hehe :)
I chose the sand version, because it has got more interesting colours, in my opinion; a bronze version is also available.

Top drawer l-r: Ivory, Hot Stone, Terracotta, Desert Sand

Bottom drawer l-r: Antique Rose, Black Chocolate, Sandy Rose, Gold Bar
My favourite are Terracotta & Antique Rose - which I have used in the look below.
In my defence I got to say that I NEEDED this!!! ;P
I don't have any neutral, nude eye palette; for a while, I wanted to buy the Urban Decay Naked but then went sold out and then I lost interest in it... and comparing the two, I think the BB is far superior.

Subtle but flattering! What do you reckon?

are the beauty boxes going to be the end of Boots...

That thought came into my mind yesterday when I was clearing my wallet, checking old receipts and I found a whole bunch of Boots vouchers UNUSED!!! At first, I was puzzled since I always take full advantage of the quadruple points coupons and then - when trying to remember when was the last time I was in Boots - I couldn't remember. Finally yes, it was May - coincidently when the beauty boxes started in Uk... coincidence, well...
I can't get over the fact that I haven't felt the urge to browse and buy in Boots for 3 months and the only explanation is that I get my 'fix' with the monthly delivers.
I'll give you an example: last week I finished my body cream; usually, I would have a back up but this time - even knowing the bottle was nearly empty - I just didn't bothered since I had the body lotions from the boxes to test and review.

what do you think... have you notice if you have had less trips yourself? :)

Anyway, I did go in today but I only bought these mere pieces:

No7 Perfect Lips Pencil in Nude - I wanted to pick this up to use with my new Bobbi Brown nude lipstick (check a future post coming soon... exciting make up!!! :)) and was able to use £5 off voucher that they gave me at the till, so just paid £2.50 - bargain as it's a well review item.

Beauty Fixation Nail Polish Touchups by Japonesque - Boots new stocks a whole range of beauty 'helpers' (lip moisturiser, make up remover...); I'm going to try these first and see how they work, I like the practicality of the q-tips.
