Christmas Presents

A bit late with a Christmas presents haul but I'm always in two minds when sharing gifts 'cos there's always the risk of people thinking you're bragging; personally, I love reading these posts - I'm noisy like that - and it's a great way to get ideas and find undiscovered gems. :)

Gorgeous DKNY bag - the colour is in between brown/grey - smart looking and I will definitely save it for special occasions.

People know me well and they have been certainly feeding my pugs & owls obsession! :)
Check out these pugs salt&pepper shakers - Awesome or what?!!!
I love watching American Pickers and my husband got me a t-shirt from the States - love the rooster logo!
The frame with the wire is an handmade jewellery holder; the shabby-chic feel is right up my alley and it will look perfect against the purple wall in the bedroom.

Basilur Tea is a tea brand that I discovered few years ago and my mum sent me a new selection book over the holidays; I don't normally like fruity teas but their selection are delicious/yet not too sweet. I'd definitely recommend to check their website http://basilurtea.co.uk if you're a tea junkie - prices are average and their packagings are beautiful too.

Beauty related goodies: Especially Escada Eau de Parfum is a fragrance that I've been liking since it came out few years ago; it's described as joyful and light-hearted and I couldn't agree more - definitely not overpowering.
My sister also got me this Laura Ashley Fig Tree & Cassis Hand Wash & Hand Lotion Gift Set because she knows I love fig scents; this smells like proper fig leaves with a sweet twist and the hand lotion is also very good quality and light. I don't shop in Laura Ashley often enough, they are currently having a massive sale and I will make sure to pop in and check it out.
Finally… Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette! Yes, I couldn't resist and asked Santa for it. I will do a dedicated post with swatches soon.

Recent Buys

I got this t-shirt in Zara - I have a soft spot for pugs so I couldn't resist... I think it's a cool top!
I also just finished catching up on True Blood S05 so right into vampires as well ;)
I have been keeping an eye on this Warehouse Colour Block Parka since I saw it in autumn - I got in the sale for £49.50, down from £95... I think you can't go wrong with a coat for under 50quid.
The photo is not doing it justice, really: it looks like a designer, expensive coat with its sleek cut.
Finally, I also picked up this Lace Collar Blouse from Warehouse.
I think the sheer fabric and the cream colour makes this shirt the perfect romantic addition to any wardrobe; the pretty lace applique on the collar is gonna look great against a winter sweater, too.

Saturday Afternoon Shopping

Hello ladies!
I'm reallly reallly trying to be more sensible and save my hard earned money... but you got to treat yourself sometimes too...

Zara T-shirt with Studded Yoke
I felt in love with the colour - oxblood is perfect for autumn!
The top will be great for a casual look with some blue jeans but I can also dress it up with a nice skirt and heels - I think I'm gonna get a lot of use out of it!
The material is very soft and - looking at the label - it says it's knitted linen, apparently.
The hexagonal studs and stars make it pretty cool too.

On a totally different note, I bought some Turmeric capsules in Holland and Barrett.
Last year during my researches online for my wedding, I remember reading about Turmeric face creams - they were recommended as a pre-wedding must have; apparently it's the best kept secret for Asian brides to get beautiful skin for the big day. I didn't manage to find any cream at the time, so I kinda of forgot all about it.
Then recently, I started reading again about Turmeric: being a super herb/spice and great for your digestive and immune system, too!
You can sprinkle it freely on your food but I decided to go with the capsules, purely for practicality and to make sure to get the recommended dosage per day.
I got to say, I'm very impressed!
I've only taken them for few days but the results are already in: my stomach has never been so flat. They are definitely miraculous in that sense and didn't experience any side effect so far.
Anybody tried these? What are your thoughts/experience??
