Shopping My Stash / #5

Still pretty keen with mineral foundation lately - I find that the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF30 + Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF15 in real sand are the perfect combo!
For the base, I also used Stila One Step Correct Colour Corrector to even out skintone and Topshop Blush in butterscotch as an highlighter. I hit pan!!! I don't think it has ever happened before - I do love this item and I will have to limit the usage now, since I think it's discontinued. :(
Finally added a touch of Neal's Yard Remedies Mineral Blusher in 54 peony which is an iced pink and cool toned.

For the eyes I went with this FOTD look, using Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in 003 Bad Girl Bronze on the upper lid and Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 014 Bright Blue on the bottom; I like the motorized brush of the Bourjois Volume Fast & Perfect mascara but I think it's a bit drying and hard to remove.
The lip were effortlessly simple with 100% Pure Lip Glaze in peach bellini.

What have you been wearing lately? :)

Empties / August

Body Products:

Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Bath & Shower Gel: I've been saving this up for a while but it has now sadly come to an end. :(
You would think that it smells like honey but it actually has a fresh scent of oranges. It's very moisturising and all round good for your skin. Also for a good cause - Full review here
Repurchase: yes.
Sally Hansen Moisturising Polish Remover: I really like this remover! It contains Pro-Vitamin B5 and it does deliver on the moisturization part because it doesn't dry my cuticles or leave my nails flaky. This bottle also last ages and it's well priced at £2.45.
Repurchase: yep!
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Speed Dry Drops: another Sally Hansen item and favourite of mine. This product also lasted a long time, so long that I think it's actually discontinued now... what a shame! They do the top coat version but I prefer the drops, really. Easy to use and never had any issues with nail polish smudging.
Repurchase: I wish! :(
Lush Fair Trade Foot Lotion: Finished another tub - I have already featured it recently here
Repurchase: yes.

Face Products:

Nivea Pure & Natural Cleansing Lotion: I use cleansing milk&toner combo every morning because I don't want to use anything too aggressive. I like the Nivea ones, I have tried a few plus they are not expensive; It's a lovely cleanser but can't say that it stands out for any particular reason but I can't say anything bad about it either. :)
Repuchase: maybe, I like to try different ones too so it could be a while...
Ren Active 7 Radiant Eye Gel: Love this eye cream! It's perfect for summer too because it's a gel and I like to keep mine in the fridge. It absorbs well, doesn't interfere with the concealer and nicely hydrating.
Repurchase: oh yes, this is my third one :)
Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask: it's your typical clay mask but - apart from the price - I don't see anything special about it. It's lovely sure and it purifies the skin nicely, but I can name another half a dozen masks that perform the same way, without the outrageous price tag.
Repurchase: nope.

Make Up:
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade# 5: this is just a sample but here goes my two cents. It's a lovely foundation! It's nearly imperceptible on the skin but it uniforms the skintone beautifully. Personally, I like the dewy look but I still need to powder on top, otherwise it wouldn't last very long.
Why it's not an amazing foundation? Because I've fallen in love with the Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup SPF15 Foundation
Repurchase: don't think so, I want the Maestro!

Shopping My Stash / #2

For the past hot hot days, I've been using Clinique City Block Sheer Spf25 as a primer/spf protector. I think this may be discontinued which is a shame because it's not greasy and slightly tinted so great to use on its own too.
Then, I chose Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Santa Fe which is my favourite foundation of all time and never disappoint. I set it with a light veil of Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder in Brightening Nudes. I love the brightening effect and it never looks cakey.
On the cheeks, I used Ruby & Millie Face Gloss in ; this product is kinda of prehistorical! I have had it for ages and as you can see used it and abused it. I literally slap it on and doesn't even need blending - beautiful beautiful natural glow. I also added some extra glowiness with Benefit Sun Beam, on the cheekbone.

Kept the eyes minimal: I applied a quick wash of Neal's Yard Remedies Mineral Pressed Eyeshadow in 76 Oats to the eyelid which is the perfect neutral colour and rimmed my eyes with Max Factor Liquid Effect Pencil in Black Fire.
Finally, I chose Lancome L'Absolu Nu in Rouge Nu for the lips! I kinda have re-discovered this lipstick recently - it's the perfect red lipstick for every day and I wore it to the office all week. It's very moisturizing and takes seconds to apply in the morning.

Introducing / Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely range

For the second year running, Neal's Yard Remedies comes back with the Bee Lovely and Help Save the Bees campaign. A campaign so powerful and popular to win Silver at the International Green Awards and the Ecologist's Best Campaign.
The bee community is in serious decline and that affect the whole nature harmony; bees are undervalued but essential part of our ecosystem but have been threatened by modern way of life and chemicals.
You can take a stand and support the cause in many ways:
- you can sign the petition here to get the British government to join Italy, France, Germany and Slovenia in banning neonicotinoids, some powerful and harmful pesticides;
- plant wild flowers and create a bee friendly environment;
- raise funds for the charities, buying any product from the Bee Lovely range and 5% will be donated to the good cause.

Bee Lovely started with an hand cream but was so popular that now there's a whole range, including hand wash, body lotion, shower gel and lip balm.
Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Bath & Shower Gel* comes in the classic NYR blue bottle; it'd look elegant in every bathroom, especially if you wanna impress your guests or simply treat yourself; it comes with a pump which is also ideal, if you decide to use it in the shower.
First thing which comes to mind - talking about bees - is honey, of course and I was expecting it to smell like the golden nectar... instead, I couldn't have been more surprised.
This body cleanser is enriched with moisturizing organic honey, which is fairly sourced in Nicaragua and Mexico and so pure that it could be eaten.
The gel is also blended with orange and mandarin essential oils that give it an uplifting scent.
I've been enjoying it in the shower where the energizing effects have been more than helpful in the early mornings... but I adore it in a warm bath to soak my battered muscles, after a gym session.
The line contains organic ingredients and it's free from nasty chemicals, which makes it suitable for the whole family, including children aged 3+
This is a truly fantastic and high quality product and if you want to treat yourself or the family and feel good about it, you now know what you need to pick up this Christmas :)

Have you tried Bee Lovely yet?

Neal's Yard Remedies Make Up

I was so excited to find out that Neal's Yard Remedies released a make up collection!
I'm a great fan of this brand - if you have used their products before, you can tell your skin benefits from the high quality ingredients that they use.... and now you can take advantage of that, painting yourself pretty! ;)

This is the first make up collection to be certified by the Soil Association.
The line is enriched with natural minerals and organic ingredients to nurture and care for the skin; also, every product contains antioxidant white tea which has been proven to fight signs of ageing.
I like that - on every box - you get the percentage of minerals/organic ingredients used... and they are all very high!
No Parabens - No Talc - No Silicones as well!

Mineral Pressed Eyeshadow in 76 Oat*
I, absolutely, love the details of these individual eyeshadows: the transparent case with the NYR logo on the front. The pot is very sturdy, too and compact - perfect for travelling!
The shadow is so creamy and applies smoothly.
I'm loving this taupe colour! I've been using it non-stop for the past week, on his own; no contour and no other colours in the crease... It opens up my eyes, it has a brighting effect and works very well with my green eyes.

Mineral Blusher in 54 Peony*
Again, I like the packaging - the blue matte lid is very smart and although it's compact, there's plenty of product in it.
Peony is such a versatile colour: very light and wearable and it catches the light, beautifully.
Also, it's super smooth and weightless on the skin.

Lip Gloss in 64 Plum*
The lipgloss is my favourite product, definitely!
Actually, I feel lipgloss isn't really correct because it's not sticky at all - it's more like a nourishing tinted balm. Plum looks very deep but it goes on sheer, with some beautiful purple/blue/silver shimmer.
It's very moisturising, thanks to the sweet orange oil and YES it does taste of orange, too - Yummy!!!
There are 9 gorgeous shades and I want Damask Rose next. ;)

There's nothing which I didn't like about this line - overall, I'm very very impressed and looking forward to try some more!
Have you check these out, yet?
What's your favourite NYR product? :)
