We went to see Skyfall at the weekend - the husband is a fan and I do like watching the James Bond films too, they are entertaining after all. Plus, the iMAX is always the best experience EVER! ;)

Face: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr Foundation in BD40 (not a great fan of this foundation - I prefer the Lancome Teint Miracle which is in my Top5 favourite foundations), Giorgio Armani Master Corrector in pink, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in medium, Benefit Sun Beam, Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Sesame, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush in 3 Coral (love this blusher! it's so pretty and easy to wear - I don't find coral blushes always look good on me. I'm not a fan of the packaging, tho... I'd have liked a mirror, at least);
Eyes: bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The Vision (I fall in love with this set every time I use it; the quality is really good and I would never thought I could pull off these colours. I can't wear a full on black smokey eye but I like the smoky effect I can achieve with this duo), Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, Revlon GrowLuscious lashliner in Espresso, Clinique Bottom Lash mascara, Clinique High Impact mascara, Kiko FalseLashes Concentrate Building Base mascara;
Lips: Collection 2000 Cream Puff in Fairy Cake.

Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup

I was lucky enough to win Confetti Letters Mac giveaway, recently.

I always feel daunted when I think about Mac lipsticks because there are so many colours and I can never decide which one to pick and end up really confused. 

So, I decided to go down the safe route and chose a classic colour, favourited by many ladies: 

Creme Cup

 The formulation is very creamy and super comfortable on the lips; also, the colour is very easy to wear and I've been reaching for it a lot, since I received it.

I would say this is definitely a neutral shade for me, a neutral slightly blue toned pink.

I'm already loving this lippie and I can see why it's so popular... the only thing I'm not crazy about (as with all Mac lipsticks) is the vanilla smell but I can live with it! ;)

Cure Sexy can be used on all skin types and I mean ALL - dry to oily, rosacea or acne sufferers.

The formula contains only the highest quality ingredients to deliver moisturization, collagen activation, exfoliation and brightening effects.

Star ingredients are volcanic minerals, french sea clay and Teaoxi; the volcanic minerals are derived from pulverized micro pumice that exfoliate the skin, smooth fine lines and stimulate circulation, revealing a younger looking skin.

The french sea clay - sourced in the South of France - absorbs impurities and toxins, promoting collagen synthesis and creating that glow that last up to 3 days after use. The clay also enriches the skin with essential oils and tightens pores.

Finally, the patent pending complex technology of TEAOXI which is responsible for the continuous deliver of anti-oxidant directly from real tea leaves into the mud. Teaoxi also helps brightening the complexion, protects against free radicals and balances oil level in the skin.

You would use it as any other mask but the results are far from ordinary!

It's pretty simple and fast acting: you leave it on pose, appling a medium layer, for 10 minutes or until dry.

Empties / October

Another month - another empties post!
October went super fast for me: it was my birthday, then my sister came to visit... my time was pretty much absorbed by the training at work... luckily, Christmas is approaching fast and I have already started buying presents... exciting! :)
Btw, can anybody recommend a good curling iron? I'm looking for a big barrel one, for beach waves more than spiral curls... something reasonable priced, too... much appreciated as always, girls!! xx

Anyway, this month offering:

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub: pretty pissed off at Soap & Glory! I used to like the scrub which came with a blue lid but then they repackaged and reformulated it, I guess... This smells exactly like the previous one but it's thicker and impossible to use on dry skin (how I like it!) - too sticky.

Also, the jar is smaller but more expensive.

Repurchase: never!

Boots Natural Collection Shower Gel: actually, these were from a Christmas set that I bought in December 2011 - took advantage of 3for2 offer - but only got around to use them recently... God, 7 months later... I told you I don't use up stuff quickly!!! ;)

Anyway, they have lovely fruity scents so turned out to be perfect for the summer.

Only problem is the packaging: I can't be bother to fiddle with a screw top in the shower.

Repurchase: why not - although I have plenty of body washes to finish up, first!

L'Occitane Cocoa Flower Lip Balm: I really like this lip balm; not sticky, smells lovely of cocoa and very nourishing. Repurchase: definitely, I love the formula and there are new limited edition flavours every year!
The Body Shop SpaFit Toning Concentrate: I really disliked this body product. It leaves a oily residue on the skin and the pump is really hard to use.
It was quite expensive for the amount provided and I didn't notice any improvement on my skin.
Repurchase: no.
Gatineau Strategie Jeunesse Throat Gel Firming: quite a random product, I must admit. I got it in a swap, mainly because I wanted to try something from Gatineau. I used it up and I can't really say I saw any magic happening to my jawline but on the other hand, It's not like a have great concerns - thank God!
I would say it has more like a temporary tightening effect like a film, than a longterm effect but I did enjoy using it as it's very fresh on the skin and smells lovely.
Repurchase: maybe in 10 years time.
Talika Lipocils Expert: I got to say, I think this works! I didn't have high hopes but still wanted to give it a go and used it every night. I definitely have more lashes and they are longer! It was actually a nice surprise!
Repurchase: although, I can heartly recommend it - it's not a must have for now. I will consider buying it, If I see any promotion around.
