Farewell Oasap!

I placed another order on the Oasap website, few weeks ago... if you're not sure what Oasap is, you can have a read to my previous post here... anyway, I was highly disappointed with what I received!

First of all, consistency! The box says Hermes and the bracelet Gucci... then, the website never mentioned anywhere that it is a pure and disgusting fake!
I never buy fakes and I don't care for them; actually, they even detract value from an item, in my opinion and I rather have the high street or the real deal.
On the picture on the website, you can only see a 'g' and again, as I said before, it doesn't say the gucci name anywhere in the description... I understand the disclosure 'the item may be slightly different from the picture' but this is a whole new level of deception. I'm happy with high street interpretation of the latest catwalk trend but purely copying a design is just wrong and bad taste!
Although the cuff is quite nice, per se - I like the colour and the texture of the leather and the pink gold metal - the fact that there's that brand name there, it really puts me off from wearing it; I would have been happier if it simply said Oasap, instead.
Also, these marks on the metal don't seem to come off: they're from the protective film that I peeled off so it's basically glue residue. I polished but they are still there... bottom line - failure all round!
Sweet Candy Shaped Bobble Earrings
I also ordered these earrings - these are exactly what I expected... not much!
Simple, plastic studs but again, the colour is nothing as on the website: sure enough is green but I was expecting a pastel green.
Unfortunately, they also broke the first time I wore them: basically, they just came unglued (easily sorted) but still not acceptable.

On top of that, I believe this website is unjustifiable pricey: the orange bracelet is $46 - really, would YOU pay that?
In the end, I came to the conclusion that I don't really want my blog to be associated with this poor quality merchandise... come on, how possibly could I sell you this sh*t!
I know that technically these items were given to me for free but If I don't like them, they have no value for me and I don't need any more clutter so...
...thank you but no thank you!

  4. My thoughts exactly!! I got a free order from them too - a dress that turned out to be so short it's unsuitable to be worn as a dress and a necklace which broke the first time I wore it. I decided not to even put them on my blog as I just couldn't recommend this cheap crap to my readers - and I certainly don't care about getting any more freebies. Bleurgh!

  6. Oh that's ridiculous, I wonder if this mix up would have happened if you weren't getting them for free..if a paying customer got these there would be outrage and if it was me I'd be sending them straight back and kicking up a fuss!

It's a shame about the bracelet being a fake and having the marks as it would be awesome otherwise!

  7. I could see from the quality of the website that their products were not going to be up to much so didn't bother signing up. gem x

  8. Oh my goodness, that is actually hilariously ridiculous about the bracelet. What were they thinking!? It's just unbelievable. Putting it in a completely different brand's box!? Oh dear. Just NO.
I've never ordered from Oasap before and don't think I want to having seen this.

  10. Wow this is pretty unbelievable. I can't believe they packaged a rip-off bracelet in the box for another brand! Good job posting this though - I truly believe in companies needing to be named and shamed and I hate when people provide vague reviews on products they've received / bad customer service they've experienced and they refuse to post the name!

  12. I got a free t-shirt from there to blog about which I really liked, but I'd never buy things from there normally, it just doesn't come across as a professional site at all. :/ Good on you for posting this! x

  14. That is awful! I'm no expert with brand names, but I'm guessing what they are doing is kinda illegal! I've read loads about oasap over the past few months, but I've never been tempted to buy anything. a lot of it looks like over priced rubbish to me! x

    1. totally... i do think it's illegal too... can't see how they can get away with it... x

  15. Oh. My. God.

I agree with what a few people have said - I'm pretty sure that selling fake stuff is completely illegal, but that aside to sell you something fake when you don't even know that your ordering something that's supposed to 'designer' is just disgusting.
I completely agree that I would rather have a cheaper, high street 'inspired by' item if I couldn't afford the real thing - I can always tell from the leather when I see people with fake bags and they just look cheaper than if they bought a good topshop copy or whatever!
Will be staying WELL AWAY from Oasap!

    1. very wise - stay away... I can't honestly recommend this website... in my experience it's not worth it!

  16. That is awful! They probably haven't shown the bracelet with the Gucci name on on their website because they'd get in some kind of trouble for advertising fake goods!
I've had two orders with these both of which have been okay, though the clasp on my bag has gone a little dodgy but I put that down to the amount of crap I put in there.
I'll definitely be re-thinking my association with them after this! xx
