Hello girls!!!
I placed an order on Topshop' website a couple of days ago, mainly because I wanted to get this top to take with me on holiday... ended up getting a couple of more items :)

Topshop MOTO Floral Ankle Grazer Jeans

I love the oriental print of the jeans, on the purple background; not too keen on the ankle cut but I plan on 'hiding that', wearing the fringe boots.

Topshop Pink Rose Print Shell Top

The beauty of this top is the back cut, I think - also, the material feels pretty expensive.

Coral Continue...

Been looking for eyeshadow in the colour of the season and 'settled down' for this MAC Pigment in Paradisco; name is pretty! :P
Ideally I would have liked it with more orange undertone than pink... never used a pigment before, just hope it's nicely buildable and not too messy.

Lipstick/Revlon

I usually go for more expensive brands about lipsticks but read everywhere great things about Revlon matte range, so I decided to try these babies.
I totally fell in love with Strawberry Suede instantly!
The other one is Wine Not, which is really too dark for me and makes me look wash out if applied straight from the bullet; I think I'll use this one as a stain with my finger.
Other options I considered were: MAC in Media, MAC in Rebel, Dior Serum de Rouge in 880 - but they were all too pinkish whilst I wanted a purple undertone version. Also, I'm happy I bought the cheapest of the lot as I don't see myself using it a lot... Still glad I got a burgundy/wine added to my collection.

Delivery/Debenhams

I received my delivery from Debenhams this morning FINALLY! saying finally because I placed my order on Tuesday evening and 3 days doesn't seem acceptable for such a big company (or maybe we've just been treated too well from Topshop, ASOS and such where next day delivery is pretty much the norm...).
Anyhow, why did I order online? Because they are doing 10% off promotion, offering free delivery and brands I wanted (see below) are not stocked in the Glasgow store. :( buuuuuuu!!!
Sure, I could have got them in House of Fraser but a) no 10% discount & b) I got the beauty club fidelity card from Deb ( and every little helps ;)).

So, what did I get:

Origins Vitazing SPF15: this is a day cream that enhances skin radiance. Straight from tube, it has got brown spheres in a white cream so it looks like it could be like a tinted moisturiser but coverage is pretty poor. Saying that though, I'm liking it! It does make your skin glow and seems to improve as the day goes by; I also like the very very light consistency but I can't stand the smell. I heard on YouTube it smelled like citrus fruits but to me it just smells like old, expired cream if you know what I mean - I don't know, maybe thats how 'Mangosteen' smells like. Fortunately, the smell disappears quickly.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush in #3 Coral
Funny fact here: basically I was inj front of the window trying all the blushers I got (checking if I already have a similar one and the possibility to return this one) when Richard walks in, looks at my hand and point that the BB one as his favourite. Hehe, there you go - I suppose that's a keeper after all (Fiancé & Blusher ;))

MAC Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Honey Rose: I'm in love with this powder. It is not a setting but more like an highlighter, for the shimmer. The colour is gorgeous and really works well with my skin tone but the technology behind it is what's really amazing!
As for press release: "A silky, feather-light powder, formulated with 70% water, dusts on to the skin as a cooling mist to set and enhance the look of any foundation. Beyond sheer: light-reflecting and translucent. A virtually invisible way to add luminosity and a soft radiant glow to the skin."
Yeah, what's most surprising is the feeling on the skin - does feel like splash of water - and definitely recommend it. Also not too expensive, I reckon.

P.s.: further issue with Debenhams website - they don't accept my Visa Electron or Paypal so I had to buy a gift card in store yesterday to use as payment online. They should sort this out!

I popped in town today to buy few bits to take away on holiday next week; from Boots, I took advantage of 3for2 on cosmetics:

Bourjois Express Cleansing Wipes: wipes are just more practical for travelling and anyway I'm not planning on wearing heavy make up in Italy; first time I'm trying these from Bourjois and I'm liking them a lot. Definitely wetter than other brands, you feel get more products and smell is soooo nice (similar to blush, like baby powder, talco - reminds me of childhood).

Bourjois So Laque! nail enamel in 27 Beige Glamour: I love these neutral pink colour, although not too impressed. I swatched it two hours ago just to show you guys and look! It's already chipped. Fair to say, I didn't apply a top coat so I remind my judgement to a proper manicure.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Creme in 720 Fire & Ice: another iconic lipstick, a beautiful bold red shade, originally released in 1952 and just been reissued recently.

“For you who love to flirt with fire…who dare to skate on thin ice”

I also went in House of Fraser to get a couple of foundation samples that I'll bring to Italy and see how they're going to fare in hot weather - hopefully I'll find a winner for the wedding next year. :)
I got Chanel Vitalumier Aqua and Guerlain Parure Extreme (LOL - the Guerlain counter didn't have any pot so I brought my mini Nutella jar - hehe)

Then, I picked up a Superdrug card. Finally!!! It was about time, they started a loyalty scheme like that. I mainly use Boots 'cause of that reason but there's some brand they don't stock and I'd like to try - Sleek, Gosh - from Superdrug. Unfortunately, the store in Argyle street is c**p, stock was a disaster, i couldn't find anything I was looking for so I didn't buy anything today. But, yeah, I have the card now and happy to have the choice between the two...

Finally I bought a pair of shoes and a bag in Primark. Usually, I never shop in Primark - the shop is always untidy, there's far too much stuff and can't be bothered to browse in that mess... but I'm glad I went today. ;)

The shoes are the peeeeerfect coral shade - just what I was looking for and also have kitten heels. To be honest I saw a nearly identical pair in Dorothy Perkins but at £35 I was in two minds if to get them. Now, I'm glad I waited.
The bag is totally on trend for colour-blocking! I like how the three colours work together but the twist lock is fake (you see, I had to change it four times because couldn't find one that had a straight lock or unmarked strap - Primark quality for you, but what do you expect for 7quid?!)

Beauty Bric-a-brac

I got a few beauty items in the last week; they're all new products that I've never used before and want to give it a go.

Dermatologica Gentle Cream Exfoliant: I heard great things about this exfoliant from Lisa Eldridge and totally trust her expertise, she's so talented and professional; I usually use an 'abrasive' scrub on my face twice a week but she explains how these acids work on your skin ad I'm happy to use something gentler but just as effective. Also, they sent me some samples which is always a big plus wherever to buy on one website or another. From www.dermalexpert.co.uk

Dr Nick Lowe Dark Circles Correcting Cream: that's my main issue in this area - dark circles!!!!; i don't get bags but I'm quite self-conscious about pigmentation underneath my eyes (apparently it's also a sign of allergies and it totally makes sense, Miss allergy myself!). I've never tried a brightening cream as such before - I use eye cream regularly but regular, moisturising ones. I heard Shiseido does a good one but couldn't find it for less than £35 so I thought to give this one a go first. From eBay shop.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream: this is a classic - first time try also. I bought it on sale on www.asos.com, love the packaging but I'm not thrilled about the smell. As mentioned before, my allergies, I suffer from rushes on my lips often so I wanna try this to calm any flares ( also, the cream/gel is so thick that I can't imagine actually use it on my skin).

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF30: this products sounds honestly genius!!! Basically it's sun protection powder to use throughout the day to top up your SPF. it's not a substitute to your morning cream application but sooooo practical to keep in your bag everyday and brush yourself when needed (instead of messy creams). I got it now because I'm going in Italy next week and will be the best location to test-drive. Also comes in SPF45. From www.mankind.co.uk

I spotted this copy of InStyle with a free Nails Inc in Electric Teal in Tesco this afternoon; the other colours available were orange & grey.
I definitely prefer this shade of blue/green to the other turquoise varnish I got.
The ring I'm wearing in the photos is from Miss Selfridge and I got it two years ago, I think... It's the perfect match! :)

Here is the make up I wore today to complete the look - hope you like :)

Face: Lancome Teint Miracle in 02; Clinique Fresh Bloom in 01 Peony.
Eyes: eyeshadow from Clinique Brandied Bronze palette; Versace Comfort Eye Pencil; Benefit Badgal; No7 Dream Lash mascara.
Lips: Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in 76 Ming.

I went for an haircut today: I always go to Vidal Sasson in Princes Square 'cause I really like my stylist - and once you find someone you trust, stick with them. ;)

(pardon my messy make up but had to rub off loads hair off my face - took pics with my phone and lighting is a bit rubbish. FYI Jacket: Diesel & Scarf: Zara)

After that, I went to Boots to pick up few essentials (nail varnish remover, shower gel, shampoo) and also the lipstick I mentioned in the previous post (they're still running 3for2 on make up so also got an eyeshadow and clear nail polish).

Revlon Just Bitten in Frenzy: I have attached a swatch below (the top segment is with balm and below without) and also a picture with Essie' nail polish so you can just yourself if they're a good match. :)

L'Oreal Chrome Intensityin Blue Jean: only have another blue eyeshadow from MAC Tartan Tale palette but don't like the finish; I will use this one to add a little sparkle.

I bought this nail polish off eBay and finally received today (with 2 bank holidays and Royal wedding, it took nearly 10 days. Outrageous!!!)
Anyway, what can you do...

I like it 75% I would say - it's probably too flat, would have liked a bit more sparkle but the shade is spot on.
I call it 'antique rose' but it's actually In Stitches by Essie; first time I try this brand - I like the consistency but the brush is tiny (ergo the mess).

Also, I spotted a lipstick which should match; gonna check it out tomorrow so fingers crossed and stay tuned... :)

House of Harlow

The quest for the coral earrings is over!

I chose this pair House of Harlow Tribal Style; they're maybe more orangy than I originally wanted but they will have to do... Not sure you can tell but orange part is leather - pretty cool, like texture, still natural material

More close ups...
