Anniversary Presents

In April, it was our 2nd Wedding Anniversary and we are currently away on a wee break.
We said no presents but I still got spoiled - I've been wanting the Nike Air Pegasus '83 in Grey for a while, so my husband surprised me. I love the colours - mint & purple are the sweetest combo and perfect to pair with candy hues that I love to wear in Spring and the retro vibe.

The Modalu Mini Pippa Grab Bag in Lipstic Red is from my mother-in-law. It's gorgeous, love the black details and that it has a shoulder strap.
I also got the normal Pippa but, depending on the occasion, it can be too big; the mini is just the perfect size and still very roomy.

My first Jo Malone candle!
You can't help but be impressed by the attention to the packaging and every detail - it also comes with matches and love the big black bow. I can't wait to burn it!

Birthday Presents 2013

Fossil Link Charm Starter Bracelet in Blue
I'm not a great fan of charm bracelets but I love the chain on this one with the pop of blue enamel - I picked it, btw! ;) I definitely want more, in different colours and pile them on with an oversize watch.

Jawbone UP
The Jawbone UP is a wristband tracker, that you basically wear all the time and gives you a better insight into your lifestyle. It's a pedometer for a starter, monitors your sleeping pattern and you have the option to set an alarm clock that it's supposed to wake you up at the ideal time. It has an app where you can add extra info, like food/exercise diary and yes, the only thing that it's missing is an heart monitor that could be useful at the gym.
I'm actually pretty excited to give it a go - let me know if you'd be interested in a full review in a few months.

Pull & Bear Pug T-Shirt
My sister knows me well and keeps feeding my pug obsession! I love how regal he looks in the portrait and with a precious gems necklace... hehe Classic! :D

Tiger cute scissors - Romantic Initial Necklace

 Skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Kit
I saw this set on offer in Marks&Spencer so I asked my husband to get it for me.
I adore the Skyn Iceland Glacial Face Wash and my skin's been playing up lately, so I thought it was the perfect time to try more products from the brand. I think it's great value for £14 - I will review the single items, once I have tried them.

Boux Avenue Sunglasses Giraffe Pajamas
How cheeky looking is tha giraffe? Certainly makes me smile and the material is soooo suuuper soooft!!!

Space NK Birthday Present

Last month was my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email from Space NK with a  voucher to take in store and collect my birthday present.
I thought it was really sweet, since most of the merchants just give you a discount code - implying you need to spend money, of course.

My present was 15ml bottle of Caudalie Divine Oil.
I was thrilled because I read amazing raves about this product and wanted to try it, anyway.
It comes in a spray glass bottle and, even though is a sample size, I reckon it will last me quite a long time.
This oil is a blend of grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan oils and smells gorgeous!
It can be used on the body, face and hair and it's a dry oil but I still find it too oily on dry skin so I've been using it on damp skin, just out of the shower.
Thoroughly enjoying it - Thank you Space NK! :)

Congratulations to Emily @ One Way Beauty  that won my Birthday Giveway!
Your prize will be with you soon :)

FOTN - Secret Santa

FACE
L'Oreal Studio Secrets primer
MUFE High Definition Foundation in no 117
Benefit Erase Paste in medium
Urban Decay Afterglow in Crush

EYES
Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
Laura Mercier Luster Eye Colour in Crystal Beige

LIPS
Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Party Alice

Easy, low maintenance make up to meet up with some friends and exchange presents for Secret Santa.
Also, badgy comfy sweater to hide indulging food weight from the holidays... ;)

Sweater from Gap: I love it but I haven't wore it much. I got it winter 2009 and I have wore it 3 times in total (once a year). I just really can't stand heavy clothes on my skin, I'd rather layer; it's good it has 3/4 sleeves so I feel less like suffocating but it's also so thick that I can't wear a coat on top of it.

Christmas Presents

Mega Haul of my Christmas goodies!

Ok, explanation of the cross in the first picture: I took this picture on Xmas morning but I don't own the Clarisonic Classic anymore. Basically, on Boxing Day I saw Clarisonic Mia on Buyapowa.com so I convinced my fiancé to return the other one. Oh boy, it took a lotttt of convincing - I tell ya! He really really wanted me to keep the 'better' version but I honestly couldn't justify the extra 60quid: I'm just as happy with the Mia. :) Actually I'm in love with my Mia - I can't wait to use it every evening.
I'm still trying it out, at the moment, to see what's best for my skin: I've been using it every night for the last 10 days (alternating the gentle hydro cleanser - which came in the box - and refreshing gel cleanser - from feel unique' box).
Currently, I'm researching which are the best cleanser for this tool; I'm set to buy Philosophy 'Purity' or one from Elemis. Please, comment below if you have any recommendation.
Do you have a Clarisonic? Would you like to try it?

Bobbi Brown - Bobbi's Party eau de parfum
This is so nice! Describing a perfume is always a challenge but what comes to mind are words like clean, fresh... Yes, i would say it smells kinda like soap - which I like but I don't know if the word sounds too appealing to other... if you pass by a BB counter give it a sniff and tell me what you think, ok? :)
We got it in House of Fraser at the beginning of December; they were running a promotion with O2 where if you spent £40 you're getting a £15 voucher. I got a free lippie with the voucher - also from the Bobbi Brown Party Collection (but it's sooo pretty that it deserves a separate post!).

loving this snood - it's super warm
Bag is from Zara and it's the perfect size: I can fit loads in it plus, it' has got cards slots in the front pocket so it's perfect also for a night out if I don't want to carry my wallet with me.
I like the college/retro feel of it and I've been looking for a green bag for some time actually! Perfect choice!

Fossil necklace is gorgeous! I love marcasite because I like vintage/vintage inspired jewellery.
This has got silver and black crystals and stones making it super-sparkling.
There's a Fossil shop in the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow now - It's good they expanded from watches and they also sell jewellery and bags. I like their stuff, quite pricey tho.

Karen Millen Knit Cardigan

Reiss Luna Boxy Across Body Bag

Thomas Sabo charm bracelet

posh dressing gown - I work from home... should I say more?! This will get good use!! :)

Holiday Photos - part 3

Some of my friends drove all the way from Milan and Bologna (we are talking 2 and 4 hours respectively) just to spend half day together. They are the best!!!

dress from Warehouse

dress from Miss Selfridge
I also happened to notice my sister's amazing eyelashes (damn, is it difficult to take a picture of eyelashes?!)
She doesn't even need to curl them - I thought we're supposed to have the same genes - it's not fair!!!

Pupa has been making make up for ever but in the past couple of years, they expanded their range to body treatments and creams: Inner Arm Reshaping Cream, Buttock Enhancer are some of the products i'd like to try. I was given to try the Breast Enhancer which is priced at around £45 - I hope it works.

Finally, I stocked on some Bioderma and I was submerged with samples - Thank you nice pharmacy lady! :) I'm, especially,  looking forward to try the face creams from Bioderma.
